Against The Law To Drink Raw Coconut Water?
I feel blessed that I live in sunny south Florida. Besides the wonderful weather and amazing tropical fruits I get to grow and consume I often enjoy cutting a coconut down from a tree and drinking the water right out of the coconut. I even get to eat the coconut flesh. (I never knew it was soft until I moved down here)
For people around the United States who do not live where coconuts grow, the only choice is to get bottled coconut water.
You have most likely see a wave of companies supplying your local health food store with coconut water. I often wondered if it is truly raw or not?
I learned so much about coconut water from an interview I just did with my friend Matt. Matt is the owner of Exotic Super Foods. His company supplies raw organic frozen coconut water to stores all over the United States and Canada.
Matt recently contacted me letting me know his amazing company may need to shut down. The reason is because the government of the United States is beginning to ban the sale of all truly raw coconut water.
This makes no sense but that's our government for you. There are so many health benefits to raw coconut water. This is not just about Matt's company. It is about our health and our freedom to choose what we want to put in our body.
I remember years ago the governement made it illegal to sell raw almonds and now they are at it again.
Why should this matter to you?
Well, when the government tells people they can't grow organic vegetables in their own garden (they are already starting to do this) or purchase raw coconut water, it is just a matter of time before they make it against the law for anyone to purchase or sell fresh juice or raw smoothies. You can kiss all the juice bars goodbye.
It is obvious the people in charge do not understand health and if we let them stop raw coconut water, what is next? Will they tell us it is illegal to make raw fresh juice in our own house? I wouldn't put anything past them.
